Neptune Ward is Southend University Hospital’s children’s ward, and each week, there’s a show made for the kids, by the kids!

The one-hour show is presented by best friends Kara and Kathryn, aged 12. Each show is packed with a mix of music chosen by the two girls, plus interviews with the staff on Neptune, quizzes, jokes and brain teasers to help put a smile on the hospital’s most special ward.

In the girls’ own words:

“We know it can be scary being in hospital, and we try to make you laugh with our cheesy jokes, and get you thinking with our logic puzzles. You can listen to us on a Saturday afternoon from 2pm, and again on Wednesday at 3pm. We hope that the kids (and the staff) on Neptune Ward enjoy our special hour of music and fun!”
